For owners, GMs and insurers Know your mountain's record is complete before anyone asks.
Ski area risk management starts with the record. Verdynt/OS shows the general manager how complete every patrol report is, how fast it was written, and which incidents need someone told. When a claim comes, the file is one click, and your insurer can see it without anyone emailing patient records.
What the GM sees.
Four numbers on the owner's screen, from the patrol's own records. Nobody fills in a separate form.
Documentation score
How complete each approved report is against what your patrol director requires, for the season and case by case, with what is missing.
Sample figure
Time to report
From the call to a submitted report. Reports written the same afternoon are stronger than reports written two days later.
Sample figure
Red-flag notices
Serious injuries, a lift involved, a minor, or a possible claim. Who was told and when, and what is still waiting.
Sample figure
Injuries per 1,000 visits
Your season's rate beside other mountains on Verdynt/OS that opt in to compare, by counts only. No patient details ever leave your mountain.

The claim file, in one click.
When a letter arrives, nobody digs through binders, inboxes and the rental shop's paper. The file is built from the approved report and the mountain's own records for that day.
- The approved report, frozen.
Exactly as it was approved, with who wrote it, who reviewed it and when. Every earlier version is kept. Mistakes are struck through, never deleted.
- Photos and witnesses.
Photos fingerprinted when they were added, with time and place from the photo. Witness statements in their own words, and a scene diagram.
- The conditions at that minute.
Trail status, the morning's grooming, the snow and weather, saved when the case was opened.
- Who was told, and when.
Management, the insurer and a parent when a minor is hurt, each with the time.
- The audit trail.
Every view, change and release of the case, with who and when.
The file is released only from the approved report, with a release number, and a legal hold stops any change to the case.
What a patrol app on its own can't attach.
Most claims turn on more than the patient's care. They ask about the trail, the grooming, the lift and the rental gear. Because Verdynt/OS also runs those parts of the mountain, the case picks them up by itself.
For renewal, and for your insurer.
The season risk report
One report for insurance renewal: incidents by kind, location and month, the injury rate, time to report, the documentation score, and red-flag notices made on time. It gives your broker better information about your mountain. It is not a promise of a lower premium.
Insurer and broker access
Share a case or the season report with your insurer or broker by a secure link that expires. Every view is logged, and you can revoke the link at any time. Only approved reports are shared, never a case in progress.
Patient details stay controlled
Only the patrol access levels your director allows see patient details. Counter, instructor and other staff logins never see patrol cases.
Your data, your mountain
Incident reports export as a spreadsheet any time. Comparing injury rates with other mountains is opt-in and uses counts only.
The founding group.
We are opening Verdynt/OS to a small, named group of independent mountains first. Founding mountains pay half in their first season and get a say in what we build next. In return, we ask for honest feedback, the kind that says what doesn't work.
We'll check each one against the review checklist in our incident report guide and send back what's strong and what a reviewer would flag. We'll send a safe way to share them; please don't email patient records.
Questions owners and insurers ask.
Will this win claims or lower our premium?
We don't promise either. Verdynt/OS keeps a complete record, written at the time, that can't be changed afterward without it showing. What your insurer, your broker and your lawyer do with it is up to them.
What does the documentation score measure?
How complete each approved report is against what your patrol director requires for that kind of case, and how fast it was written. It shows what is missing, so the patrol can fix the habit before the next season.
Can our insurer see patient records?
Only what you share, by a secure link that expires, and only from an approved report. Every view is logged, and you can revoke the link.
Do we have to run the whole mountain on Verdynt/OS?
No. Patrol works on its own. The rental, grooming, lift and staff records attach to a case only when those parts of the mountain run on Verdynt/OS too.
Our patrol is a separate organization. Who owns the records?
The patrol or the ski area, whichever is the customer. The ski area gets a free read-only login that shows approved reports and the day's patrol in numbers, never a case in progress.
This page is general information about the software, not legal or insurance advice. Talk to your insurer and your lawyer about your own records and obligations.
